New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has given blood, sweat, and tears to the team and the city. Even him, a long-time star and contributor in the community, has reached a point of frustration due to the team's recent struggles.

New Orleans has lost five games in a row. They sit at 2-5, heading towards another playoff-less campaign under Dennis Allen. Their latest performance was one of their worst under the veteran head coach in his tenure. They just fell to Sean Payton's Denver Broncos, 33-10, on Thursday Night Football .

    Kamara understands fan frustration

Kamara was noticeably frustrated on the field in the first half. After the loss to Denver, the running back understood why fans are sick and tired of the team's struggles.

“I’ve been here 8 years and I’ve never seen the Dome clear out like that. And I can’t blame them. They’re fed up.” — Alvin Kamara

Kamara added that he would have left if he was a fan in that situation tonight, too.

The Caesars Superdome was nearly clear of Saints fans by the end of the game. Many left at halftime after Drew Brees' franchise Hall of Fame ceremony. The fan base is growing more and more angry with the state of the team at the moment.

Kamara has even come to terms with how rough the outlook for the Saints is currently. They are drowning in injuries with a rookie quarterback starting at the moment.

Dennis Allen's priority of the time, the defense, looks lifeless and is getting ran over on a weekly basis now. At every level, the energy has been drained from the black and gold after starting the season with two blowout victories.

Kamara was looking for a contract extension before the season began, leaving minicamp early due to the discussions on a deal. That being said, everyone must now wonder how much longer he will dawn a Saints uniform.
