Former Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops echoed the sentiments of a lot of college football fans with his prediction for this weekend's matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Vols in Knoxville.

Stoops, who has quite the history with UT head coach Josh Heupel, initially picked Alabama to beat Tennessee on Saturday before switching his pick to the Vols.

"I want to take Tennessee being at home," said Stoops . "I'm just worried about how they've looked the last three games offensively. And even here (against Oklahoma) the game offensively was ok, but not what we were expecting them to be, [which was to be] so dominant offensively. And to me, something's askew there. And Alabama, I think, will have something to prove. For those reasons, I'm just going to go with Alabama."

Stoops then pulled a "not so fast my friend" on himself.

"But this Alabama game is at Tennessee...I'm going to change my pick, I'm going with Tennessee," said Stoops. "Being at home, 110,000 or whatever they've got, I think that'll make the difference. It's not easy at all [to play in Neyland Stadium]."

It feels like that's how everyone is viewing this weekend's showdown between Alabama and Tennessee. It feels like a true toss-up game thanks to the way both teams have played in recent weeks (Alabama losing to Vandy and then barely beating South Carolina and Tennessee losing to Arkansas and then barely beating Florida). No one seems to be confident in predicting this matchup.

Stoops, in fact, isn't the first former national championship-winning coach this week to initially pick Alabama before flipping to Tennessee.

Former Florida Gators/Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer also picked the Crimson Tide to win this game before switching his pick to the Vols.

Tennessee and Alabama will kick off at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville.
