The Denver Broncos made it a conscious effort a few years ago to go and get one of the best head coaches in the league, and, a Hall of Famer when he decides to hang it up for real this time. Sean Payton has a Super Bowl win and a ton of other accolades under his belt. But he was most known for building up the New Orleans Saints to be a big-time team in the NFL.

They were terrible before he got there, a great team while he was there, and terrible when he left. However, his tenure with the Denver Broncos hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows so far. But, things are looking up from here, especially after he just got a big-time win over his former team on Thursday Night Football.

But, this win means a little more. NOLA was his home for a very long time, that was his first head coaching gig and his longest one in the NFL, and former quarterback Drew Brees was being put in the Saints Hall of Fame that night as well.

But, also, Sean Payton did something that only eight head coaches have ever done. He has now beaten every single team in the NFL.

“It means you’ve had two jobs," Payton said on Thursday night. "Someone brought that statistic up and we were trying to guess who was on that list. Someone had brought it up yesterday or the day before. We don’t think about things like that, but I know you had to have worked at two different organizations to do it. I’m glad I am here.”

I think it's safe to say Denver is glad to have him. It's taking a bit to get back to that high level of football for Denver, but you can see that they are obviously on their way. If the offense can continue to get better, there is no telling what this team can do.

The Broncos will now look to beat the Carolina Panthers next, after having won 4 of their last five, with wins over good teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a Los to the Los Angeles Chargers.
