There was never much reason to doubt that newly-acquired wide receiver Amari Cooper was going to make his debut on Sunday for the Buffalo Bills. Now, it's all but confirmed that the veteran playmaker is going to see the field against the Tennessee Titans.

Earlier in the week, quarterback Josh Allen seemed excited to play with Cooper, while also understanding that it might take some time for him to get up to speed.

"I've been a big fan of his for a very long time, very smart, very detailed in the way that he runs his routes," Allen said.

"Our system is not the easiest to learn," Allen continued. "But again, the things that I've heard about him and know about him, he's a very smart guy. He's going to work extremely hard, and he's going to figure this out and I'll help him as much as I can. We've got a lot of guys in this building that are at his aid, willing to help at any point that he asked for it, so there's no doubt he'll get into it real quick."

That cerebral side to Cooper's game will help him greatly in transitioning to a new team mid-season. As general manager Brandon Beane detailed earlier in the week, Cooper has had a coach-like mentality dating back to when Beane met with him before the 2015 NFL Draft.

Cooper might not have the entire playbook down right away, and it's still important to stay patient with him as he acclimates to a new system, a new quarterback, and a new environment, but his talent and professionalism will be a huge boost to the Bills' offense.
