The Kansas City Chiefs travel to San Francisco in Week 7 to take on the 49ers in a rematch from Super Bowl LVIII.

The Chiefs are entering this game as one of only two undefeated teams (5-0) left in the league. They are also coming off their bye week, and coach Andy Reid's 21-4 record following the bye is the best in NFL history. Kansas City's offense has been hit hard with injuries and will have to navigate the rest of its season without their top two wide receivers in Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown.

It's been an up and down season for the 3-3 49ers, but they are tied with the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West. Like the Chiefs, San Francisco has also dealt with plenty of key injuries - the big one being running back Christian McCaffrey - who remains on injured reserve. Having played on Thursday Night Football in Week 6, San Francisco will enter this game on a much needed 10 days of rest.

Let's dive into the odds and best bets for what could be the game of the week.

    * Odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and subject to change

    Moneyline

    Chiefs: +108
    49ers: -126

Despite being at home, the Niners being favorites in this matchup is a bit puzzling to me. The Chiefs have two more wins than S.F. does and have won their last four games against coach Kyle Shanahan. K.C. is also entering the game as the healthier unit.

It will be a tight contest as both teams rank in the top 10 in both offense and defense, but K.C. has made a living at winning close games. Since I'm picking the Chiefs to win straight-up, I'll bet the moneyline for a nice payout.

    Spread

    Chiefs: +1.5
    49ers: -1.5

You could technically place a bet on the Chiefs to cover the spread since I'm predicting them to win, but you may as well just put everything into the moneyline so you don't have to make two separate bets.

    Over/Under 47.5 points

    Over: -105
    Under: -115

The strength of both of these teams are their defenses. Although quarterback Patrick Mahomes always takes over late in the game, the Niners' defense has played him pretty well as a whole in previous matchups. As previously mentioned, S.F.'s offense is currently banged up and the Chiefs have one of the best defensive units in the league. I'm betting the under here.

    Prop bets

49ers TE George Kittle OVER 51.5 receiving yards - FanDuel (-114)

Kittle is having a stellar season, ranking second among all tight ends in receptions (28), fourth in receiving yards (283) and first in touchdowns with five. The Chiefs’ defense has been terrible against tight ends, allowing the most receptions (37) and second-most yards (409) to the position. Kittle is averaging 57 yards per game, so getting to 60 shouldn’t be much trouble against Kansas City’s defense.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy OVER 36.5 receiving yards - bet365 (-110)

The 49ers have a good overall defense, but has been middling against the pass. Cornerbacks Charvarius Ward and Isaac Yiadom are big and physical, but don't have the speed to hang with Worthy.

The Chiefs should begin to increase Worthy's workload as we enter the second half of the season, especially with Rice and Brown out. With JuJu Smith-Schuster battling through a hamstring injury, Worthy could see a big workload in this game.
