Detroit Lions achieve something against the Minnesota Vikings four other teams couldn't accomplish

The Minnesota Vikings are in an unfamiliar situation after the first half of their game against the Detroit Lions, as they are trailing by a score of 21-10. It's not only the first time they are trailing since their week one game against the New York Giants, but they have more than doubled the time the Vikings have been down this season.

Against the Giants, they were down for just six plays and 3:26 on the game clock after a C.J. Ham fumble in the first quarter. The Lions made mistakes in the first quarter and the Vikings built a 10-0 lead quickly. The second quarter belonged to the Lions as they scored 21 unanswered points, including taking just the second lead on the Vikings.

The Lions held the lead for 8:39 in the second quarter and for 16 plays, which both more than double what the Vikings had seen previously this season.

If the Vikings truly want to take a step forward and be a Super Bowl contender, they need to find a way out of this hole and overcome this deficit.
