Tennessee Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello had an awesome tribute to the late Pat Summitt on Saturday ahead of UT's game against the Alabama Crimson Tide that may have been missed by fans.

Vitello honored Summitt by wearing a pair of custom Air Jordans with Lady Vols colors and the word "legend" on the sole just below Summitt's name.

The shoes also had the number of Summitt's career wins -- 1,098 -- written on the back.

This is far from the first time that Vitello has recognized Summitt's greatness.

Last summer, during Tennessee baseball's national championship run, Vitello told reporters that if he could pick anyone to throw out the first pitch for a game it would be Summitt.

Vitello might have gone to school at Missouri, but he knows what being a Vol is all about as much as anyone.

Pat is one of the greatest coaches ever in any sport. Men’s or women’s. I honestly believe she could’ve won a title in men’s basketball if she had the chance. Women’s basketball and sports in general owe her a debt of gratitude.
