    Brew at the Zoo returns Sept. 7

    – The Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero will host its 11th Annual “Brew at the Zoo” on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event, which supports wildlife conservation efforts, will feature a variety of craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and distilled spirits.

    Guests will be greeted with a special welcome reception offering select spirits, cider, and wine on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will include craft breweries from San Luis Obispo County and nearby areas, including:

    • Ballast Point Brewing, San Diego
    • Black Market Spirits, Central Coast
    • Blast & Brew, Atascadero/Paso Robles/Pismo
    • Cali Squeeze Seltzer, Paso Robles
    • Central Coast Brewing, San Luis Obispo
    • Eberle Winery, Paso Robles
    • Fig Mountain Brewing, Buellton
    • Firestone Walker Brewing, Paso Robles
    • Golden State Cider
    • KiloKilo Brewing, Paso Robles
    • Kula Vineyards & Winery, Atascadero
    • MEA Wine, Atascadero
    • Oak and Otter Brewing Company, San Luis Obispo
    • Pupoloco Sangria
    • Shindig Cider, San Luis Obispo

    Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for designated drivers from Paradise Shaved Ice, along with water stations for all attendees.

    Entertainment will be provided by The Vibe Setters and Ghost Monster, with Medina Light Show and Designs managing games, a costume contest, hula hoop contests, and a dance contest. A variety of food, including tacos, gourmet wraps, sandwiches, hot dogs, shaved ice, cookie dough, and pies, will be available for purchase. Attendees will also receive a collectible glass, with event t-shirts available for purchase.

    The Charles Paddock Zoo is one of 236 institutions accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo is home to over 200 animals, including red pandas, monkeys, fossa, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan tiger, and various reptiles.

    Online tickets are available now for $40 per person, excluding service fees. Designated driver tickets are $15 per person. If not sold out, tickets will be available on the day of the event for $50 per person, starting at 5 p.m. at the zoo ticket booth.
