Rotary Club celebrates local cleaners with special recognition

Cleaners support Coats for Kids program by cleaning gently used donated coats

– The Rotary Club of Atascadero held a special presentation this week to honor Mark Goforth of Plaza Cleaners and Ysauro Gonzalez of Fashion Cleaners. Both received a Paul Harris recognition for their significant contributions to the Coats for Kids program.

Goforth and Gonzalez have supported the program by cleaning gently used coats for local families at no cost, with the number of coats exceeding thousands each year. Each business received a framed poster of appreciation for their cleaning donations last year. Gonzalez was unable to attend the event, but the club will deliver his recognition soon.

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is the highest form of acknowledgment from Rotary International, named after the founder of Rotary. It represents a substantial contribution to the Rotary Foundation’s humanitarian programs. The club presented this honor to Goforth and Gonzalez as a tribute to their alignment with the foundation’s objectives and their continued support of the Coats for Kids program.
