With an average home value of $432,000, it comes as no surprise that Idaho has some substantial real estate within its borders. Multi-million-dollar homes decorate areas like Ketchum and Sun Valley with some of the state’s most expensive price tags, but which house is the biggest? While there are a few houses with substantial square footage, none of them are as big as the Amway House.

The only way to even drive past the Amway house is to go through Post Falls. This city has over 14,000 residents, and it currently ranks as the ninth- largest city in the state . It sits on the border between Washington and Idaho, and it is about 20 miles away from Spokane.

Special Features In The Amway House

Constructed as a single-family home in 1995, the size is not the only reason that the Amway house is so significant. With four separate parking spaces, a 10-car garage, and nearly four acres of land, the original owners included everything that they might need. They even included 13 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. Along with all of the other typical features that come in a luxurious house like this, the waterfront view is one of the biggest appeals.

Since this house is within a gated community, public access is not permitted. Work was set in motion in 2019 to turn the home into a bed and breakfast , but no approval was ever issued by zoning authorities. It also features a home theater, saltwater pool, putting green, and a tennis court. The property sits along 452 feet of waterfront access.

Who Owns The Amway House Now?

Since it was originally built, the Amway house has always been a part of the Puryear family. Built by Ron and Georgia Lee Puryear, the property has had almost no changes since its original construction. The notoriety of the owners, however, comes from their work with Amway, rather than the home itself. Their home was purchased with the profits from selling Amway, leading to the house’s nickname.

Since the passing of Ron Puryear in 2016, a broker at Century 21 Beutler and Associates named John Beutler represents the new ownership. The current owner is listed as the Puryear Family Limited Partnership on behalf of the family. While not presently for sale, its current estimated value is $9,253,200.
