The famed cat from Alice in Wonderland has a haunting grin that stretches across his face. His eyes are green and his responses are like riddles when Alice asks him for guidance. Though he belongs to the Queen, he is generous when lending his ear to Alice. Sneaky like only a cat can be, Cheshire Cat disappears and reappears with ease, offering nuggets of wisdom Alice can make use of on her trek.
3. Salem
He’s an American shorthair cat that speaks his mind without mincing his words. He lives with Sabrina Spellman and her two aunts, Hilda Spellman and Zelda Spellman in the sitcom, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996). Salem Saberhagen isn’t just a cat—he is a 500-year-old witch who is serving a 100-year sentence as a cat as punishment. What did he do? Well, he tried to singlehandedly take over the world.
4. Grumpy Cat
She became famous on the internet but “Grumpy Cat” wasn’t her original name. It became her nickname due to the permanent grumpy look on her face. Her true name is Tardar Sauce. She had feline dwarfism and an underbite that contributed to her unique look. She became an internet meme, which resulted in her celebrity status. Grumpy Cat lived seven years and passed over the rainbow bridge in 2019, leaving her humans with plenty to remember her by.
5. Lil Bub
Mike Bridavsky is the lucky fella who adopted Lil Bub and gave her all the love he could muster. He posted her on YouTube and she went viral, collecting fans throughout the world. There was a documentary made about her in 2013 called Lil Bub & Friendz and her popularity led to several opportunities, keeping her memory alive. She passed at age eight after helping to raise $700k for animal charities.
6. Mrs. Norris
She was always paying attention, ready to alert her master, Argus Filch, when one of the children was out of line. Her eyes bulged and had a lamp-like yellow glow. She was a scrawny cat , beloved by her master, but both of them were quite detestable to the children of Hogwarts.
7. Garfield
He’s a chunky cat known for being lazy and a bit self-centered. Garfield is a fictional comic strip character who loves snoozing, eating, and his teddy bear, Pooky. He doesn’t have a voice but that doesn’t limit his expression. His antics keep his owner, Jon, on his feet.
8. Nala
Nala’s life started off a little rocky when she had to be removed from her first home when she was just a kitten. However, after she was adopted and taken to her fur-ever home, she turned into the lovebug the whole of the internet loves. She is the most followed cat on social media to date!
9. Hamilton (The Hipster Cat)
The hipster cat, known as Hamilton, also goes by “the mustache cat.” This cute kitty has a built-in white mustache that contrasts perfectly against his dark grey fur. In 2021, he had some health issues and doctors determined he has idiopathic epilepsy. Luckily, he was given meds that kept seizures at bay. However, fans remain eager for an update since his social media accounts have been awfully quiet since.
10. Mr. Jinx
