Increasing Rain Chances Return Again
SYNOPSIS – Yesterday was a drier day for us around Dothan, but other parts of the region saw those usual afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This morning is off to a sunny and quiet start, but we’ll once again see those afternoon showers and thunderstorms become a little more widespread as we head into the afternoon. A stalled front will very gradually drift southward toward us, increasing Gulf moisture and lift necessary for the development for additional showers and storms through the middle of the week. Higher moisture values could lead to some pockets of heavy downpours as well over the next couple of days. Some drier air starts to move in by Friday, and that will drop rain chances and increase temperatures some as we head into the weekend.
