Highly touted running back and class of 2025 Clemson pledge Gideon Davidson drew praise at the recent 2024 Rivals Five-Star event in Jacksonville. Listed as 6-foot, 193 pounds, Davidson committed to Clemson in June 2023 over offers from Auburn, Colorado and others. He is coming off an impressive junior year at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Va., where he rushed for 2,716 yards and 43 touchdowns (per MaxPreps). Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football team are relying on quarterback Cade Klubnik to elevate their offense and contend for a National Championship in 2024. Last season, as a sophomore starter, Klubnik faced high expectations, but the team fell short. The transition was challenging, especially with new offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, who had just led TCU to a National Championship appearance. Though 2023 didn’t meet expectations, Clemson is optimistic about 2024. Klubnik has had the offseason to develop and improve, and his hard work has the team hopeful for a stronger performance this year.
