Red Pines Cafe focuses on flavor, hospitality, growth
ONALASKA – With a direct view of Lake Onalaska’s northern shore, The Red Pines Cafe is the newest addition to the Red Pines family. The cafe – which opened earlier this year at W7305 County Road Z – joins the Red Pines Bar & Grill and a handful of Airbnbs owned and operated by Corinna and Michael Todd.
Sunday fire leads to hours-long Hwy. 51 shutdown
A portion of southbound Hwy. 51 was closed to traffic for five hours on Sunday while crews battled a blaze that started in a storage garage in Arbor Vitae. The blaze was reported at about 6:40 p.m. at 111107 Kern Lane. The four-bay storage garage was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, with several small explosions. Several vehicles near the garage were also on fire, officials said.

Eight-Player All-Star Game on Friday - Denzel Sutton (Thorp) caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from T.J. Lamb (Almond-Bancroft) to secure a 36-34 win for the North squad over the South. Lamb completed 20-of-30 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Sutton caught nine passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns, adding 25 rushing yards and 15 passing yards as well.
