    Chicago Air and Water Show wraps up at North Avenue Beach after day 2

    A gorgeous sunrise Sunday set the tone on North Avenue Beach for day two of the 64th annual Chicago Air and Water Show.

    All different kinds of aircraft ripped through the Chicago skyline on Sunday morning.

    The U.S. Navy Blue Angels roared across the city and the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team jumped on Sunday, leaving an unforgettable experience.

    There were also many amazing civilian performers in stunt planes, including some appearing in the show for the first time.

    Stunt pilot RJ Gritter made his debut at the show aboard his acrobatic Decathlon 150 CS.

    Trojan Phlyers was aboard their historical North American Aviation Company T-28B aircraft.

    It was also a picture perfect weather for day one on Saturday, with clear skies and cool temperatures.

    On Saturday, the lakefront was packed with folks keeping their eyes on the skies for the show.

    The Air and Water Show ran from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Best advice was to show up early to find a good spot because the lakefront quickly fills up.

    Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Dave Adams said water and public transportation are the key factors to enjoy the show.

    The public was encouraged to take public transportation, because parking can be a nightmare and traffic congestion quickly builds up.

    The U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team will be one of the main attractions at the 2024 Chicago Air and Water Show.
