BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK (KMID/KPEJ) – The Big Bend Natural History Association has reached three million dollars in donations to the National Park Service in Big Bend, the park said in a post on Saturday.

The park said that since its founding in 1956, BBNHA has been vital in supporting the educational, scientific, and historic programs at all three National Park Service sites in the Big Bend region of Texas. When someone becomes a member or makes a purchase from their bookstore or website, it helps to fund projects within the park, such as the Jr ranger Program, volunteer events, trail signage, special guest speakers, and the Artist in Residence workshops.
