MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Update: According to an update from the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department, Oncor is continuing to work to restore electricity.

GVFD added AT&T is also working to restore service in the area. However, since the poles were a loss, service likely won’t be back up until Wednesday, August 21.

Some residents may be without electricity or service from AT&T as crew work to clean up after an oversize load caused power lines to be pulled down.

The Midland Fire Department said it responded at about 9:23 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20 to the incident at FM 307 and Interstate 20. The fallen lines were found draped across another vehicle with an occupant inside.
