MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – As the school year gets underway, the Bush Tennis Center is offering a program that connects students in the Basin with positive role models through tennis.

The ‘ACE Outreach Program’ provides free in-school programs to over 40,000 elementary-aged children throughout the Permian Basin.

The ACE Program also offers free or discounted after-school and summer programs – supported by the Bush Tennis Center – in conjunction with UTPB and the United States Tennis Association.

“The ACE Outreach Program is advise, council, encourage,” Tim Stallard, Executive Director of the Bush Tennis Center said. “It’s something we started here in the Permian Basin, partnering with UTPB at the beginning of the program to get positive role models out to the elementary schools and learn life lessons through the sport of tennis.”

The ACE Program wants to reach over 200,000 children in Texas by 2025.

If you want to learn more about getting involved – you can contact the Bush Tennis Center at (432) 620-8180.
