    Three injured following major Odessa crash

    ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to a major crash that injured three people early Thursday morning.

    According to OPD, at about 5:47 am on Thursday, August 22, crews and officers responded to a major crash at the intersection of 100 th Street and US Highway 385.

    Investigation revealed a black Dodge Challenger was traveling south on Highway 385 while a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling west on 100 th Street, attempting to cross Highway 385. The driver of the Toyota Corolla reportedly failed to yield right of way from a stop sign before it was hit by the Dodge Challenger.

    UPDATE: One killed in Wedesday night Faudree crash

    Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The front passenger of the Dodge Challenger was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This crash remains an ongoing investigation.

    There have been at least 5 car wrecks in that exact location with in the last two years. The city needs to put a light at that intersection. Last year a truck ran through two houses right on the intersection of those two streets.
