MFD extinguishes morning warehouse fire

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland Fire Department responded to a warehouse fire Saturday morning, after a welding spark reportedly started the flame.

According to a release, at about 11:27 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, crews responded to reports of a commercial fire in the 900 block of East County Road 140.

“The building contained flammable materials that caused rapid-fire growth. All occupants were evacuated with no injuries,” MFD officials said.

MFD crews contained the fire to the warehouse portion of the building. No injuries were reported at the scene.
