    Registered to vote? Here are some important dates you should know

    TEXAS (KMID/KPEJ) – With the 2024 elections quickly approaching, voters across the nation will be registering and casting their vote for many key races across the country, including the next President of the United States.

    In Texas, the last day to register to vote will be on Monday, October 7. Early voting begins in Texas on Monday, October 21, and runs through Friday, November 1.

    The last day to apply for ballot by mail is Friday, October 25. The envelope must be received by this date, not postmarked.

    The last day to receive a ballot by mail is Tuesday, November 5 at 7p.m. If the envelope is postmarked for Election Day, the ballot will be accepted until Wednesday, November 6 at 5 p.m.
