WATCH: Waterspout tears apart Venezuelan island homes

MARGARITA, Venezuela (KMID/KPEJ) – A towering waterspout off the island of Margarita came ashore on Tuesday, September 17, damaging buildings, according to local media.

The waterspout formed amid intense rainfall and thunderstorms, causing walls to collapse and roofs of houses to fly away, according to Noticia al Dia. Footage shared by Instagram user @enriquezabala7 shows the waterspout spinning off shore.
