MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland ISD Board of Trustees discussed the progress of changes being made across the district at a Board meeting earlier this week. These changes are being made thanks to a voter-approved bond that was passed in November.

At the meeting, the district reported the new elementary school is under construction and is 10 to 12 percent complete. The project remains on track to be completed in August 2025 in Lone Star Trails.

The Board also said site improvements at Midland Freshman High School continue, as the project is now 50 to 60 percent complete. The bleacher pad, discus pad, shot put pad, and sidewalks have been poured. Drainage stone has also been placed in the turf, and the tennis court fence posts as well as the conduit for lighting towers have been installed.
