Basin Business: Senior Life gears up for 35th annual ‘Texas-sized Garage Sale’

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Midland is preparing for its 35 ^th annual Texas-sized Garage Sale, giving people a chance to pick up some odds and ends for your home, all for a good cause.

Volunteers have been spending the last year gathering merchandise to sell to Midlanders. Those sales will go toward supporting the local Meals on Wheels organization.

“We are so excited because we’re getting ready for our annual Texas-sized garage sale. We’ve been doing this for 35 years, so it is a tradition amongst Midlanders and people all over the Permian Basin. Not only are we meeting the needs of our homebound elderly by providing funding for that noontime meal through Meals on Wheels, but this is also a vital necessity for many of the Midland community,” said Tracy Renton, Director of Development at Senior Life Midland.

The Texas-sized Garage Sale will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 11, October 15, October 17, and October 19. You can learn more here .
