Midland to close several roads amid new utility projects

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The City of Midland will be starting several new utility projects next week, closing some roads throughout the Tall City.

According to the City of Midland, beginning on Sunday, September 23, Colorado Street from Texas Avenue to Wall Street will be closed due to Atmos utility work. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, October 4.

Additionally, North County Road 1160 will also be closing on Sunday, from East County Road 90 to the Highway 80 frontage road, as city crews work to install a sewer line. This closure is expected to last until Monday, December 23.

Finally, the City said the road closure on Garfield Street will be extending south to Louisiana Avenue for utility installations.
