    PERMIAN BASIN (KMID/KPEJ) – Here are the top stories from around the Basin for the week ending on September 20.

    Three Ector County ISD students were arrested Friday afternoon after school district leaders said a Nimitz Middle School student made a false report for creating a hoax about a shooter inside the school. You can learn more here .

    Officers with the Odessa Police Department were out in full force on Tuesday, supporting a fellow member of law enforcement. OPD said officers lined Grant and Andrews Highway, down to Yukon Road, to help escort a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper to Schlemeyer Field.     Missed what happened last week? Here were the top headlines from across the Basin

    A 5.1 magnitude earthquake rattled West Texas Monday afternoon, around 7:49 p.m. The United States Geographical Study said the quake’s epicenter was registered about 21.1 miles west southwest of Ackerly, or about 27.6 miles north of Midland. You can learn more here .
