Midland County: CR 1130 to undergo reconstruction

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Midland County recently announced the reconstruction of County Road 1130 between Loop 250 and FM 307.

Midland County said the project will involve rebuilding the existing asphalt road and widening it to include a continuous center turn lane. The County added this aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce accidents in the area.

“As the County Commissioner for Precinct two, I am proud to announce this important road project in our precinct. This reconstruction illustrates the growth of Midland County. We understand that construction can be inconvenient, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to create a better infrastructure for our community. Together, we are investing in a brighter future for our roads and the people who rely on them,” said Jeff Somers.

Construction is set to begin south of East County Road 86 and end north of the FM 307 intersection on Monday, September 30. While the road will remain open during construction, drivers in the area should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible. The cost of the project is expected to cost around $4 million and be completed by mid-January 2025.
