SCR 1180 to partially close amid reconstruction

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland County Government recently announced the reconstruction of South County Road 1180, which is set to begin on Thursday, October 3.

The project will include the reconstruction of a mile and a half of current existing road, along with the construction of half a mile of new roadway to extend SCR 1180 from its current ending point to connect with East County Road 140. The new extension of SCR 1180 will be completely closed during construction.

The County said SCR 1180 between ECR 120 and ECR 135 will be open to local traffic throughout construction. SCR 1185 is available as a detour for thru traffic.

Drivers in the area should expect delays during construction and find alternate routes when possible. Construction is expected to be completed by February 2025.
