North, southbound Loop 338 traffic to close amid I-20 work

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – One lane of eastbound Interstate 20 and north and southbound lanes of Loop 338 will be closed next weekend, as crews place barriers on the overpass.

According to TxDOT, beginning Tuesday, October 8, a contractor will be setting barriers on eastbound I-20 over East Loop 338, closing the eastbound lane for about four weeks while the work is being completed.

TxDOT said the loop will be closed to north and south traffic from Friday, October 11 until Sunday, October 13, but traffic is anticipated to be restored by the evening of October 13.

East and west frontage road traffic will continue to flow as normal, but north and south traffic will be required to make right turns to travel east or west. TxDOT is asking drivers in the area to plan accordingly and drive safely.
