ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An Odessa woman was arrested late last week on a warrant after investigators said she was among several suspects who allegedly broke into an ATM and stole tens of thousands of dollars. Zaniah Reanna Rodriguez, 19, has been charged with felony theft.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, on September 12, officers were called to the Ector County Coliseum after an alarm was triggered on an Automated Teller Machine in the parking lot. At the scene, officers found a large number of bills scattered around the parking lot and a stolen Chevrolet truck idling near the damaged ATM.

Investigators said that in all, the bank lost $71,040 because of the break-in.

Surveillance video from the area reportedly captured images of several people dressed in hoodies and face masks as they exited the stolen Chevrolet and two light-colored SUVs and approached the ATM. Investigators later tracked the SUVs down to a home on 46 th Street and tried to speak with one of the residents, identified as Rodriguez, about the incident.

Rodriguez refused to answer any questions about the break-in, but investigators said that because Rodriguez matched the body type of one of the suspects caught on camera, they were able to obtain a search warrant for her home.

During the search, investigators said they found the hoodies worn by the suspects; they also reportedly found the face masks in the trash can and other items that were used to rob the ATM. Rodriguez was arrested at the scene and taken into custody; however, OPD has not yet revealed the identities of the other suspects involved in the crime.

Rodriguez remained in the Ector County Detention Center as of Monday afternoon on a $25,000 bond. Additional charges could be pending for all suspects, including Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, according to the OPD report.
