Odessa woman gives back with Halloween decorations

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – One Odessa woman is taking her Halloween decorations to the next level by featuring decorations from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie.

Heather Quarford said the display’s inspiration is to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital, with the cause and inspiration for the display being inspired by her grandmother who died from cancer.

“Me and her would watch it over again because she enjoyed the Halloween aspect behind it,” Quarford said. “We just wanted to give back in some sort of way because no family should have to go through that.”

Quarford says she is close to meeting her goal of raising 600 dollars for St. Jude’s and kids who get picked up from a local elementary school are excited to see the display.
