Athlete of the Week: Midland senior Elijah McCoy

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Midland senior runningback Elijah McCoy is ABC Big 2’s Week Six Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Bulldogs’ 56-31 win over Santaluces (FL). McCoy, a UTEP commit, rushed for 134 yards and four touchdowns in the victory.

Friday’s performance brought McCoy’s season totals to 821 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, just halfway through the season. This is the second time McCoy has been honored as our Athlete of the Week in his career.

The Bulldogs open district play this Friday at Frenship.
