    Motorcycle crash in front of ECUD leaves one dead

    ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Department of Public Safety released more information about the deadly motorcycle crash that happened in front of the ECUD warehouse Wednesday afternoon.

    According to a DPS report, at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, a 2007 Harley David Motorcycle was traveling south on Moss Avenue while a 2008 Land Rover LR2 was attempting to turn north onto Moss Avenue out of a private drive, failing to yield right of way, striking the motorcycle.

    ECSO, DPS respond to motorcycle crash outside ECUD meeting

    39-year-old Robert Montes, of Odessa, was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover was transported to Medical Center Hospital. This crash remains under investigation.
