MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The City of Midland is making some improvements to one of its public parks.

Beal Park is set to receive roughly $36.6 million in upgrades, with the biggest upgrade being the addition of extra soccer fields to accommodate the more than three thousand kids who are currently playing soccer in the Tall City.

Midland Mayor Lori Blong said that games are split between three parks, meaning the new upgrades will make attending their children’s soccer games easier for parents.

The City said it hopes to make Beal Park “the premier soccer facility in West Texas” and it hopes the upgrades will bring in more tournaments.

Other upgrades to Beal Park include adding an amphitheater and a splashpark. Work will be done in phases, with the City saying work is expected to begin in the next few months.

Better do something about these wild dogs in packs. Attacking the homeless on the Southside. Going to end up paying millions in a law suit. Ignoring these dogs hunting humans! Ain't like they don't know it's happening!
