The fire, which started Saturday afternoon, burns around Paydirt Road, southeast of Placerville, according to the El Dorado County Fire Protection District. The flames moved along the Placerville Airport, and the fire prompted evacuation orders in areas along Airport Road, Texas Hill Road and Big Barn Road.
