2 missing Florida children believed to be in danger and in Wake County found safe
The two missing Florida children previously believed to be in Wake County were found safe, WTXL, an ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, reported.According to WTXL, no details have been shared about where they were located.Caden Barber Jr. and Marina Baber -- previously thought to be in danger -- are 7 and 9 years old respectively. Both children had been last seen in Crawfordville, Florida, according to the Missing and Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse on Friday.Investigators said they were believed to be in the custody of 31-year-old Tiffany Carroll traveling in a gray 2014 Toyota Camry with North Carolina tag VDY6102.
UNC-Chapel Hill to develop policy for recording classes following faculty concerns

Teen delegate from Raleigh represents North Carolina at RNC
North Carolina has a large delegation at the Republican National Convention this week.Among the group of 74 officially casting their votes for Donald Trump as president is a Wake County teenager.Cardinal Gibbons High School student Kelcey Shull, 17, is the youngest North Carolina delegate. Cardinal Gibbons High School is a private Catholic high school located in Raleigh.ABC11 spoke with her at the convention to talk about her time in Milwaukee."I think it's a united front for the Republican Party, which has been really great," she said. PETA supporters to gather outside Fayetteville police after viral K9 video
A group of PETA supporters Friday will gather outside the Fayetteville Police Department.The group said they are calling for justice after a viral video showed an officer hitting a K9.The video, taken June 23, sparked outrage on social media. It happened at the Walgreens at Village Drive and Owen Drive."If he can't handle a dog, how is he expected to handle human beings?" one person asked."The video released to social media does not depict the entirety of the incident," FPD said in a release.According to the department, the incident happened after the K9 bit the officers and refused to let go.Despite verbal commands and collar manipulation, the K9 refused to release the bite. After 10-12 seconds of being bitten the handler hit the K9 with his fist seven times, FPD said. The final blow caused the dog to release its grip.The officer was treated for his injuries, and the dog was not hurt.During the review, investigators viewed video recorded by two body-worn cameras and an in-car camera.FPD's internal "Master Handler" and the chain of command also reviewed the evidence as did independent agencies.PETA supporters said they are calling on the city to conduct its own investigation.
