5 suspects detained for stealing generator used to power railroad safety crossing, HPD says
Five people were busted for allegedly stealing a generator used to power a railroad safety crossing in northeast Houston.The Houston Police Department said the incident happened early on Sunday at a crossing on Hirsch near Tidwell.HPD released photos of the arrest on X, formerly known as Twitter.Northeast, Allen PD, Texas DPS and UP RR PD have five suspects detained at 9500 Hirsch. Man unloading trailer killed by hit-and-run driver in Aldine area, deputies say
Deputies are looking for an alleged hit-and-run driver accused of killing a man in the Aldine area of north Harris County.Harris County sheriff's deputies said three men were unloading a truck and trailer into a residence in the 400 block of Hill Road near Airline Drive when one of them was hit just before 10 p.m. Monday.The man was pronounced dead at the scene.HCSO units responded to Auto-Ped Crash, 400 blk Hill Rd. Preliminary Info: pedestrian/victim (adult male) struck by vehicle & vehicle fled scene. Victim confirmed deceased. Vehicular Crimes Units enroute.
