A group of Williams Field High School seniors are raising awareness about an important health topic with their very own children's book.

Alex Zamesnik, Finley Bouchie, and Cora Rickman recently created "Allie's Little Light Bulb," which they use to teach elementary schoolers about epilepsy.

Since beginning their mission in May, they’ve read to several elementary schools, started a podcast on the subject and hosted seminars where they help people understand the signs, symptoms and treatment of a seizure.

For Zamesknik, it’s very personal because she’s dealt with epilepsy for nearly a decade. She now wants to make sure everyone is prepared to help if the time comes.

ABC15 tagged along with the teens on Thursday as they flipped the script at Williams Field High School, hosting a seminar for their teachers, and educating them on the potentially life-saving information.
