Groundbreaking ceremony in York County held for veterans memorial project

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Leaders of the Dover Veterans Memorial project broke ground Monday.

The idea started in 2018 to honor all veterans, whenever they served. They needed to raise $185,000.

“The enthusiasm is awesome,” chairman Brad Jacobs said. “I mean, it’s just great. I had no idea how many people might turn out, but this is this is absolutely great. And we’re looking forward to the dedication on Monday, Nov.11, Veterans Day.”
