NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) — A local Mexican restaurant was vandalized over the weekend after a man appeared to headbutt the storefront window, breaking it.

On the morning of Sunday, September 1 around 6 a.m., two people appeared to be having an argument in front of Taqueria El Puente, located at 213 3rd Street in New Cumberland.

Surveillance footage shows the man walking towards the ally next door to the restaurant with a woman yelling at the man.

The man can then be seen at the front of the establishment banging his head into the window, resulting in a large crack.

“Due to this unfortunate incident, we still plan on being open Tuesday but hours may differ,” the restaurant posted on Facebook over the weekend. “Please be on the lookout. We solely try to bring a gift of taste to our community here in New Cumberland Pa. We are not here to have enemies but to be a staple for New Cumberland.”

Co-owner of Taqueria El Puente, Gonzalo Olvera says he is having someone come by the restaurant this Thursday to get an estimate in order to fix the window.

A police report has been filed regarding this incident.
