    Pennsylvania envelope manufacturer closing down after 58 years

    ASHLAND, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania-based envelope manufacturer recently announced that it is closing down, resulting in over 100 jobs lost.

    The Schuylkill County-based Tri-State Envelope recently filed a WARN notice with the Department of Labor & Industry earlier this week.

    According to the WARN notice , Tri-State Envelope will be closing its facility at 1 Ogler Place in Ashland, Pa. in the coming months. As a result of this upcoming closure, 122 employees will be affected.

    The closure process is set to begin on October 27 and will conclude on November 10.

    Tri-State Envelope was first founded more than 50 years ago back in 1966. According to their website , the company was most known for manufacturing a wide range of envelopes, varying in size from 2.25” x 3.5” to 13” x 17”.

    everything is shutting down in Pennsylvania.... absolutely nothing is opening up. there's going to be nothing left in Pennsylvania, but government employees, police and teachers taxing everyone out of their homes
