YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are looking for a truck driver who struck a man on Sunday night at a York County park.

Northern York County Regional Police released details about the crash on Thursday, saying that a male pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck just after 8 p.m. at the Manheim Adventure Park, located at 4565 Camp Woods Road.

The man suffered a head injury and was rushed to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment. Police said the man was originally knocked out but woke up and was speaking to officers when the ambulance arrived.

According to police, the man reported two newer model trucks, one grey and another black, doing donuts in the park’s parking lot.

To stop them, the man, who was nearby, ran to the lot, and when he got to the park entrance, one of the trucks hit him with the driver’s side, knocking him backward, while driving away, police said. The other truck had already left the park before he got to the lot.

Police said they don’t know which truck hit the man, but he was holding a flashlight when he was struck by the truck and reported that he may have smacked the vehicle.

A description of a younger man with shorter brown hair was given to police for one of the suspects.
