CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The motorcyclist who was killed in a deadly crash in Cumberland County Friday afternoon has been identified.

According to the Cumberland County Coroner, the motorcyclist was 41-year-old Zachary Bane of Gettysburg. The coroner says Bane was the operator of the motorcycle who struck a vehicle that had turned in front of him as he was traveling North on Route 114. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries, the coroner tells abc27.

A spokesperson for PennDOT said Bane’s motorcycle and SUV were involved in the crash that happened just after 12:30 p.m. on Route 114 near the intersection with the Route 15 ramps.

The road is back open but there was a closure in place for over three hours between Gettysburg Pike and the intersection of Bumble Bee Hollow Road/Kim Acres Drive.

State Police are at the scene investigating the crash.
