    Mifflin County Junior High School student charged after threat

    MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Mifflin County School District student is facing charges after a threat was discovered, according to the superintendent.

    Superintendent Vance Varner says the threat was made at the Mifflin County Junior High School. Mifflin County Regional Police and school administration began investigating after the threat was discovered.

    It was discovered that a student wrote about a threat of school violence on a wall inside the boy’s restroom on Tuesday, according to Varner.

    The student was interviewed, confessed to making the threat, and will be charged, according to Varner.

    “The district and school administration would like to extend their appreciation to the
    Mifflin County Regional Police Department for their support and help with this
    investigation,” Varner said in a statement.

    There was an increase in police presence at the school for the day.
