CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) — This past week in the Midstate we had some major Chick-fil-A updates, a new local bookstore announced its October opening, and a local buffet is celebrating 95 years of operation.

    Chick-fil-A

    • The Chick-fil-A restaurant in Lebanon County on Quentin Road officially opened its doors earlier today. On the other hand, over the past few weeks, two other Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Midstate closed their doors for renovations, including locations in Harrisburg and Chambersburg.

    Bookshelf Shenanigans

    • This locally owned bookstore will soon be making its debut on North Market Street in Elizabethtown. The new store will offer children’s books, Young Adult selections, Adult Fiction and Non-fiction, and large print books for those with poor eyesight. Bookshelf Shenanigans is slated to open in late October.

    Miller’s Smorgasbord

    • This long-time Lancaster County restaurant and buffet is celebrating 95 years of operation. Miller’s Smorgasbord first opened as a truck repair shop back in 1929. To celebrate, Miller’s is offering special events throughout October including weekly giveaways and Saturday Meet the Artisan Days.
