LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A motorcyclist was charged after leading police on a high-speed chase throughout Elizabethtown.

Tre Piper, 28, of Elizabethtown, hit speeds of over 120mph while he was riding a 2004 Kawasaki during a police pursuit on Sept. 7 around 9 p.m., according to the charges filed by borough police.

Police said they tried to pull Piper over after finding out the bike’s registration was dead, but after they turned their lights on, he allegedly looked back and sped away.

During the high-speed chase, police said Piper crossed the yellow lines multiple times and passed multiple vehicles illegally around a bend where you can not see oncoming traffic. Eventually, police lost sight of Piper as he sped down W Bainbridge Street.

According to the charges, police were able to identify Piper as the motorcyclist and when they interviewed him, he allegedly admitted to trying to flee from police.

It was noted by police that he did not have a proper motorcycle license and the bike’s VIN was so badly scratched it could barely be read.

Piper faces felony charges of fleeing or eluding officers and disposition of vehicle or vehicle part with an altered vehicle, along with multiple summary charges for traffic violations.

So the police did everything the biker did if they maintained sight of him. Admission of driving like assholes all for what? A dead license plate?
