LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A former doctor in Lebanon County who served prison time for indecently touching patients is facing new charges after police say additional alleged victims have come forward.

According to the charges filed Friday by North Londonderry Township Police, Samuel Rashid, 70, of Lebanon, allegedly indecently assaulted two pediatric patients during appointments in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Rashid was a licensed and practicing medical doctor at Lebanon Valley Family Medicine when the alleged assaults happened, the charges show.

Police filed the charges after the alleged victims came forward with the allegations in June, claiming that Rashid touched their privates during “evaluations,” the criminal complaint states. One victim reported the assaults happened when she was between three and eight years old, the complaint states

Rashid allegedly gave the one patient candy after the assaults and made inappropriate comments about her looks, police said. Medical records that police obtained through search warrants showed that Rashid allegedly gave the children multiple evaluations.

In 2016, Rashid was sentenced to up to two years in prison after he pleaded no contest to charges of indecently assaulting two different patients. There were over 30 women at the time willing to testify against Rashid if the case went to trial.
