    Penn State tight end Tyler Warren selected as Campbell Trophy Finalist

    (WHTM) — Penn State tight end Tyler Warren was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

    The William V. Campbell Trophy, nicknamed the “Academic Heisman,” is college football’s premier scholar-athlete award that recognizes a player as the best in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance, and exemplary leadership.

    This Week in Pennsylvania

    Among tight ends in 2024, Warren ranks second in receiving yards per game (75.3; 1 st in B1G), third in yards per catch (14.1; 1 st ) among TEs with 15+ receptions, fourth in total receiving yards (226; 1 st ) and sixth in receptions (16; 2 nd ) and receiving touchdowns (2; T-1 st ).

    Warren leads FBS tight ends with a 94.1 catch percentage among TEs with 15+ targets and ranks fourth in percentage of catches for first downs (75%) among TEs with 10+ catches.
