The odds of winning will decrease a bit, to 1 in 278 Million instead of 1 in 302 Million now.

The starting jackpot will also go up, from $20 Million to $50 Million. These changes start April 5.

Since Mega Millions began in 2002 there have been 217 jackpots won by 244 individual tickets. Those include 34 jackpots worth more than $300 million and a record $1.602 billion prize won in Florida in 2023.

Three Mega Milliosn jackpots have been won in Pennsylvania, the last coming in 2021 when a ticket worth $516 million ($349.3 million cash) was sold.
