    Police investigating shots fired near Bloomsburg Fair

    BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are investigating a report of shots fired Friday night, a block away from one of the largest fairs in Pennsylvania.

    According to a press release, Bloomsburg Police responded to a report of shots fired just before 11:00 p.m. on the 400 block of West 3rd Street, not far from the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds

    The male was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering or design on the front, and red pants while running into the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.

    The initial investigation has revealed that it is an isolated incident with no current threat to the community.

    Bloomsburg Police say they are reviewing nearby surveillance footage and witnesses, and it is still an active investigation.

    Units from Bloomsburg, Hemlock Township, Bloomsburg University, and Pennsylvania State Police all responded to the scene.
